Why we Millennials chose impact and purpose-driven companies in our careers

Managing Partners of The Major Oak sit down with host Michael Fenech to discuss their experiences in the world of purpose-driven business. Read more about their philosophies and what made the industry so appealing to them.

Jakov Bozovic and Abdelrahman Mohamed are makeshift business developers at heart and partners at The Major Oak, a social innovation engine that holds a portfolio of companies in the US, Austria and the Philippines. 

The duo is connected by the fundamental belief that putting purpose at the center is a very established objective that contributes to making better business: better profit and better prosperity.

Bozovic and Mohamed met at AIESEC, while Bozovic was enrolled on projects related to SDGs and young leadership in Serbia. Later on, he moved to UNIDO in Vienna, working for projects related to women and youth entrepreneurship, human security and job creation. In 2020, Bozovic became the Managing Partner and the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at The Major Oak.

Mohamed served as a Global President for AIESEC, working with members from 126 countries and territories. His expertise led him to become a serial entrepreneur with a portfolio of 3 startups in edutech and healthtech while serving as Managing Partner at The Major Oak.

We sat down with them to discuss the importance of purpose-driven companies and brands with purpose, the mindset behind Millennial values, and their outlook on impact while the workforce is becoming globalized as a result of our hyper-connected world.
