To kick-off 2021 with renewed hope for the future, RDB Asia Pacific gathered industry leaders, leading authorities on sustainability and inspiring entrepreneurs for a two-part virtual event to highlight the ever-growing importance of our role in creating a sustainable tomorrow by building businesses and brands that do better.

RDB APAC Impact Now Event

The Webinar, titled The business of doing good, is a series of talks showcasing inspiring local business leaders and experts from various organizations speaking about what sustainability means to them & their organizations.

Opening the Webinar with RDB’s story is Denise Alonzo-Debout, RDB’s Managing Partner and Head of CSR, followed by Butch Carungay of Matic Hub & Cebu UNESCO City of Design, Lamorna Cheesman of Studio Naenna, Emi Anglis from the Philippine Women’s College of Davao, Marc Ocampo of British Council Philippines, Ryan Gersava of Virtualahan, representatives from RDB’s holding company The Major Oak, Abdelrahman Ayman & Jakov Bozovic, and Matteo Landi, from Allmende.

These entrepreneurs and experts share their respective efforts and experiences towards sustainability, particularly the United Nations Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development signed by all 193 member states that includes the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): a universal call to action that are interconnected and rely on one another to achieve an equilibrium of environmental, social and economic sustainability.

Back-to-back with the Webinar is the Live Panel discussion featuring leading brand executives and experts from local & international organizations answering a wide array of questions to hopefully illuminate the current challenges we face and how we can build the future together in an alliance for good. Moderated by fellow sustainability advocate, Carlo Delantar, Head of Circular Economy at Gobi Partners, the panel consists of Austrian-Philippine economic expert, Christina Stieber, together with young leaders Mirus Ponon of the ASEAN Youth Advocates Network and Jude Acidre from Junior Chamber International, joined by Media and Communications experts Isabel Santillan of Cignal Entertainment & Gian Conde of Eastern Communications.

In a show of force and solidarity, CEOs from two communications agencies, Philippine CEO of media giant Havas Ortega, Jos Ortega, and RDB’s own Global CEO, Mario Alonzo-Debout likewise share the forum to discuss the role of Marketing in charting a course towards a sustainable future.

Manifesto for Good, a joint commitment to do better.

To formally forge a concerted commitment to doing better as leaders of their respective industries in creating a more sustainable future for generations to come, a Manifesto for Good was drafted and agreed upon. It outlines not only the efforts and the direction each participant will strive towards, but hopefully inspires a sense of urgency to all those watching to a universal call to action.
